Possible new sony camera on it’s way…

The above picture advertisement has recently shown up on sony’s UK website suggesting that a new sony camera announcement is coming on the 30th October. While it isn’t certain that it will be a new camera, it is looking very likely. Personally i am hoping that along with this new camera announcement, the RAW upgrade for the FS700 will be released. 🙂

“TheNewF” could be a new successor to the wonderful F3 super 35mm camera released a couple of years ago. The specs are obviously hush hush at the moment but my hunch is that we will see a super 35mm sensor similar to the F3 or FS700 but with an improved 50Mbps codec to meet broadcast standards. I think it will be a serious competitor to the canon C300 and C500 if it has 4k (which i think it will due to the slogan ‘the future ahead of schedule’)

CVP in the UK are have already listed it on their large sensor camcorders order page and it is available for pre-order.

I guess we will all find out in 2 weeks what it’s all about!
