An afternoon filming a giant rubber duck in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
One of the great things about being a cameraman is getting the opportunity to cover some unusual subjects on a day to day basis. Today being no exception whilst working for Dutch TV here in Sydney.
Artist Florentin Hofman created this 25 meters tall by 25 meters wide floating rubber duck as his latest piece which is quickly acquiring a large stamp collection in it’s passport. Having already floated down the Loire River in France, under Tower Bridge in London and into the City of Osaka in Japan.
After filming a talk and presentation by the Artist we went down to Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour and got some shots of the duckie floating in action. Using the FS700 and an 11-16mm Tokina with a Hoya Polariser really helped to show the size of the Duck in Comparison to the people next to it.
